Who we are

Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok (WASBKK), a sister school of the UK’s renowned Wycombe Abbey, is a leading British international school for pupils aged 2 to 18 (Nursery to Year 13). Opening in August 2026, the school combines Wycombe Abbey’s 130 years of British academic excellence with innovative learning.

Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok offers a seamless 16-year educational pathway and provides a stable, nurturing environment where learning is a gradual, multi-layered experience.

Jordan Anderson

Depuy Head (Academic)
Schoolwide

Jordan graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Social and Political Science before completing both a PGCE in Education and an MBA in Business Administration. This combination of educational and strategic training has shaped a holistic approach to teaching, learning and school leadership.

Over the course of more than a decade in education, Jordan has worked in schools in both the UK and internationally, teaching English, Drama, English Language Arts (ELA) and Literacy. Alongside classroom teaching, he has held a range of leadership positions including Deputy Coordinator of English, Coordinator of Sixth Form, Head of English and Literacy, and as Director of Teaching and Learning at YK Pao, widely considered the best international school in China with an IB average of 40.

Jordan’s recent role was Head of Teaching and Learning at King’s College International School Bangkok where he led whole-school teaching and learning strategy from Early Years through to Sixth Form, with responsibility for ensuring consistently high standards of teaching across the school and for shaping a curriculum that enabled students aged 2–18 to make exceptional academic progress.

Jordan is passionate about educational excellence, curriculum design and professional development, and has a strong track record of leading academic improvement within international school settings.

Juliet Staples

Deputy Head of Junior

Deputy Head of Junior Juliet Staples is a dedicated, passionate international school leader with over 25 years of experience in primary education across the UK and Asia. She joins us from North London Collegiate School Singapore where she was Head of Lower School
and was previously Head of Primary at Harrow International School, Bangkok.

Juliet holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from University of Exeter and a PGCE from the University of Southampton.

She believes that education should provide opportunities for children to be ‘the best version of themselves’ through their academic learning, social interactions, and personal development. She shares those positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging
lie at the heart of a thriving community and is looking forward to helping shape the Prep School at Wycombe Abbey Bangkok.

Miranda Norris

Head of Junior School

Miranda brings to this role a distinguished record of leadership in both British and international education. Most recently, she served as the Head of Felsted Prep in the UK, following over a decade of senior leadership within the Dulwich College International network. Throughout her time at Dulwich College London, Suzhou, and Singapore, she spearheaded initiatives to align curriculum standards with innovative teaching practices, ensuring that school-wide strategy always translated into measurable success for every child.

As an educational leader across high-performing independent and international settings, Miranda brings with her a global perspective and a deep expertise in building internationally minded environments where academic ambition is anchored by service-led values.

A firm believer in the learning environment as the “”third teacher,”” Miranda advocates that the spaces where children spend their time should be carefully crafted to facilitate play, inquiry, and discovery from the very start. She finds genuine joy in the vital “”awe and wonder”” moments that hook and inspire learning by igniting sparks of curiosity.

Kindness, compassion, and the commitment to ensuring every child finds their passion are vital aspects that lie at the heart of Miranda’s leadership. She believes that when a child feels safe and known, they develop the self-efficacy needed to become an active, independent learner who isn’t afraid to take risks or ask big questions.

Miranda is a passionate ambassador for creating environments where learners are inspired and engaged every single day, and she is dedicated to weaving these principles into the fabric of the new Prep school to ensure children have the strongest possible foundation.

Rachel Ibbotson

Assistant Head Safeguarding and Boarding

Rachel began her professional journey as a chemistry teacher in Manchester, where she demonstrated early leadership by progressing to the role of Head of Department. Following five years in the classroom, she took a sabbatical to travel across SE Asia. Her time in Thailand left a lasting impression, fostering a deep appreciation for the country’s vibrant culture and community.

Upon returning to the UK, Rachel relocated to London to continue her work as a chemistry educator. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for a professional shift, as she pivoted her focus toward pastoral care and student wellbeing. This transition led her to spending over 7 years at Dulwich College, UK where her recent role was Assistant Head Safeguarding.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a PGCE in Education from the University of Manchester, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. She is committed to creating a secure and supportive environment where every pupil feels at home within the boarding community.

Victoria Saunders

Head of Senior School
Senior School

Victoria will be leading pupils in Years 7-13 and has over 30 years of top-tier experience across five schools including City of London School for Girls and St Albans School in the UK. Her previous roles include Deputy Head Academic, Head of Sixth Form, and Head of Department.

Victoria holds a BA degree in History from UK’s Durham University, a PGCE, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge University, UK.

A passionate champion of holistic education, she thrives on supporting pupils across every facet of school life. Beyond the classroom, she’s an avid sportswoman, a band-singing musician, an outdoor adventurer, and globe-trotting explorer who dives headfirst into new cultures and histories.
